This Limited Edition Polychromed Bronze Sculpture #10/24 measures 12 ½” H x 10 ½” W x 14 ½” D and is titled, “Sooner Superstar Barrel Futurities of America World Champion 2007”. The bronze is inscribed on middle back J. Contway © 07, 10-24. The artist is Jay Contway (b. 1935). This well executed multicolor polychromed colored bronze statue depicts a cowgirl in full western attire riding on a horse engaging in a barrel race at a rodeo. The cowgirl is hand colored on her blouse in white with dark brown patina with the red brand of the Jud Little ranch on the shirt pocket. The barrel is also colored in the white with a red emblazoned Jud Little ranch brand on its center. The piece is mounted on 1 ½” Round walnut base with attached brass name plate. The bronze is in excellent condition.
