40: A George III Silver Key Wind Pair Case Pocket Watch
A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch signed Conran & Roberts, Guernsey, the white enamel dial with offset main dial having hourly applied black Arabic numerals, bordered by a minute track, overlapped with a separate seconds dial, plain round cases, both hallmarked London 1794, fitted with a signed decorated gilt full plate fusee and chain movement with cylinder escapement, decorated pierced balance cock, diamond end stone and stop function. Outer case diameter 59mm.
A George III silver key wind pair case pocket watch signed Conran & Roberts, Guernsey, the key wind movement only functions dial side down, although there does not appear to be excessive play in the balance, the dial is dirty with light scratches visible under an eye glass, the hands are worn, the hour hand and minute hand broken, the minute hand appears to have been glued together, glass possesses a multitude of medium to light scratches, the cases are light scratched but the majority should polish out.
