A flat top bonnet with four pedestals houses a painted dial with ships and conch shells. The waist has an arched door and the base has a bold molding. Pennsylvania, c. 1790. H 88.5” | W 21.325 | D 10.25”
There are inconsistencies between the holes in the saddleboard and the uprights. The works appear to be English. The clock strikes and is in running order. It has one lead and iron weight. There is a 5" patch by the upper waist door where a hinge had snapped. The original pendulum is with the clock.
