Directoire-Style Figured Mahogany and Gilt-Brass-Mounted Dining Table, mid-20th century, in the Maison Jansen taste, the oval top opening to a two part pop up leaf, raised on turned and tapered fluted legs, h. 30-1/4", d. 41-1/4", l. 67", ext. l. 91".
In good overall condition, with normal minor mars around the perimeter edges, wear and indications of age and use. The high-sheen top exhibits some scattered light surface scratches. The table exhibits play/looseness at the joint of the legs and apron. Each leg has a pair of large, concealed cast iron wing nuts to secure the legs. They are hand-tight, but may need a lever to be adequately tightened.
