R-1 English Cromwellian "lobster-tail" helmet. Two-piece skull held in place with an arch of seven rivets across center. Hinged visor has the 3-bar face protector. Replaced leather sections holding the earflaps match the consistency of the helmet. "Lobster tail" neck covering has two horizontal ridges to simulate three panels. All rivets intact. Circa early 17th century. Scarce. II
