M-1 French M1837 percussion Navy pistol. Grained 6 3/8" round barrel with a hinged swivel ramrod. Tang marked "Mle. 1837". Brass butt cap (with a swivel ring) - stamped with an anchor and "M". Brass trigger guard with an extension connected to the barrel band. Lockplate marked "M.R' de Chatelleraut". II
