M-3 Civil War Navy Colt. Old nickel plating. Serial number "180050", Shows some minor wear. Cylinder turns - spring in strong condition. Original wood grips. Revolver was recently found in a period field desk in a Massachusetts attic. Felt table shows wear with underside having two pasted on newspaper articles - one "ARTEMUS AWARD ON THE INDIANS", the other a listing of the names of 4th and 5th Regiment recruits (penciled date "Oct 16, 1862"). Lid has a split. Closed desk measures 9" x 18" x 6 1/8". About II
