L-28 German lithograph of a WWI machinegun post. With several dead/wounded comrades around him, a wounded soldier is still firing an 08/15 Maxim. A harsh battlefield scene. An excellent litho, the original in raised brush strokes, which gives the appearance of an actual oil painting. 17 1/2” x 23 3/4”. Original antique gold frame with framer’s “Coblenz…” label. II
