E-155 Prussian Grenadier Other Ranks. Similar to the Line Eagle but with an oval chest shield bearing the relief cypher "WR". The gilt finish has aged to a darkened patina. Screw posts on the reverse. 4 7/8" x 5". (The size indicates that this helmet plate was worn by several Grenadier Regiments prior to the adoption of the Model 1897 helmet. II
