Charlie Parker Buescher Aristocrat E-flat Alto Saxophone With mother of pearl finger pads, "True-Tone Low Pitch", Serial number 265359. Elkart Indiana USA. Circa 1930s. Height 25 inches (63.5 cm) Owned by Charlie Parker, as seen on PBS' History Detectives Episode 11 2004. This saxophone was purchased in the early 1950s from H&B Loan, a pawn shop in Portland Oregon, by the current owner's father Bill Hood. History Detectives traced that Charlie Parker was in Portland in the time frame of the purchase and that he had pawned his saxophone at this store. Bill Hood was a well known jazz musician and also was traced to have played with Charlie Parker earlier and at a jam session in Portland circa 1953.
