A-40 Lot of tableware taken from one of Saddam Hussein's palaces. All pieces are engraved with the Iraqi eagle/shield/script. Included are: (1) Silver carving knife made by "Christofile FRANCE". 7 5/8" blade. Handle has "OC" hallmarks. (2) Large serving fork. 9 3/4". Marked as above. (3) 8" serving spoon. Marked as above. (4) Matching fork for the above. Also has "OC" hallmarks and "CHRISTOFLE FRANCE". (5) Demitasse 4" spoon. Marked as above. (6) Bread tongs. 9 1/4". Made by "EffepiE…ITALY". (7) Silvered water pitcher. Engraved with the Iraqi eagle, etc. Palm leaf decorated handle and a fluted lower section of the body. Hallmarked and marked "CHRISTOLLE FRANCE". 9 1/4" tall. (8) Crystal dessert dish. Gilt Iraqi eagle and border. Has darkened. 8" x 8". Above lot also includes a 5 3/4" x 4 1/2" color portrait photo of Hussein and a Republican Guard beret (burgundy) with a gilt breast eagle badge and a maker's label under the moisture shield. II
