D-63 Army "Freiherr von Stein" (Eickhorn Model Nr. 1714) dress "sabel" sword. Gilt aluminum high relief oak leaf decorated pommel/backstrap, reverse"P" knuckle-bow and crossguard/langet with an Armed Forces eagle/swastika. Twisted silver wire wrapped bakelite grip. About excellent 32 1/8" curved blade - marked with the "Eickhorn SOLINGEN" seated squirrel logo. One-ring black enameled steel scabbard shows some expected scratches. Attached to the sword is an Army bayonet portopee - shows some wear (improper, but left with the sword). Sword would rate II+
