H-29 "Sonderkommando - Trawniki - Sipo Warschau" armband. Black printing on green band. Ink stamped eagle/swastika and "Der SS - und Polizeifuhrer…Warschau". Worn by captured Soviet soldiers who were trained in security procedures to act as guards for forced Jewish labor in the Majdanek Concentration Camp System. The "Trawniki" men took part in Operation Reinhard, the Nazi plan to exterminate Polish Jews and also took part in the brutal suppression of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Minor age spotting. About II
