A VERY FINE CONTINENTAL SILVER-GILT NIELLO "HUNTING SCENE" SNUFF BOX, CIRCA 1850, PROBABLY FRENCH, POSSIBLY RUSSIAN. Of compressed rectangular form with a diamond and clover diaper pattern below a hinged lid depicting hunting dogs, rifle and game. Length 3.125 inches (7.9 cm), weight 133 grams.
