Provenance: Descendent of Janet and Frederick Wulsin and her second husband the Asian art collector Richard Bryant Hobart who sold his collection of Chinese paintings at Sothebys, December 12, 1969. The Wulsin Expedition to China (sponsored by the National Geographic Society, is documented in the book Vanished Kingdoms, A Woman Explorer in Tibet, China & Mongolia, 1921-25. The Wulsin's collected many specimens which are included in the collection at Harvard University.
