Japanese wood and lacquer lap desk, constructed from mixed woods with parcel gilt and lacquer fan decoration. The paneled top folds open to a black lacquered interior with a tooled leather writing surface and numerous compartments. Circa 1900 Size: 5 x 19 x 15 ½ inches
