J.E. Caldwell Hour Repeater Carriage Clock. Brass case has beveled glass, escapement exposed through the top, and repeater button. Black open moon hands, enameled dial w/ black Roman hour numerals and minute markers on the chapter ring, sub-dial below for the alarm; signed on the dial J.E. Caldwell & Co. Quality brass movement w/ silvered lever platform escapement, strikes the hour and once on the half hour on a single coiled gong, clock and alarm are in good running condition, movement signed J.E. Caldwell & Co. Philadelphia and CH. Hour, France. All appears to be running, strikes properly and balance has good brisk motion; in original traveling case. 6.5 in. high
