Description

Satsuma three piece urn, stand and cover. The urn with the head of an elephant on either side of the shoulder, their trunks grasping tied bows. Decorated with Oriental men assembled in an outdoor setting, one group having gold auras about their heads. The base has cut out sides, four lion masks and mammal feet and marked with a painted artist cypher on the rim. Combined height 27 1/2 inches. One inch section of a bow is absent. The cover has been repaired, the figure missing some fragments. Chips to the urn rim and base rim.
