Handsome Rookwood Iris glaze vase with beautifully detailed white irises done by Ed Diers in 1909. Ed must have sat next to Carl Schmidt that day as the work is reminiscent of Schmidt’s best efforts. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 950 C, an incised W for white (Iris) glaze and Diers’ incised monogram. Height 9 7/8 inches. Uncrazed with great color and composition. There are some very minor scratches on the surface.
