Scenic Vellum vase decorated by Kataro Shirayamadani in 1911 by arraying white birch trees on the banks of a stream, beneath a pink to blue sky. Impressed with the Rookwood insignia, the date, shape 951 D and a V for Vellum and incised with the artists Japanese script signature. There is fine overall crazing and the vase is in excellent, original condition. Height is 9 inches.
