Nicely crafted Decorated Mat vase with red tulips, done in 1930 by John Wesley Pullman. The meaty body of the vase is encircled with flower and leaves done in a bold manner by an artist whose work we seldom see and wish we could see more. Marks include the company logo, the date, shape number 6195 C, the fan shaped esoteric mark associated with Rookwood’s 50th Anniversary and Pullman’s monogram in blue slip. Height 9 5/8 inches. Uncrazed with strong art work.
