Decorated mat glaze vase graced with four large black ruby tulips, the work of Catherine Covalenco in 1925. Impressed with the Rookwood insignia, the date and shape 614 D and bearing the artists monogram in black slip. Height is 10 3/4 inches. The red tulips and green leaves and stems lie against a red ground and the effect is quite appealing.
