English C.1850-65 mahogany slant front secretary with two doors and tiny antique brass knobs. Expertly hand made,probably as an apprentice piece to replicate in a larger size later. This piece serves as a wonderful desk companion or small secretary for kitchen/bedroom area.Two interior compartments for notepaper and stationary with dual inkwells in weighted glass and brass lids and collars included. Slot for pen in the front. Below 3 drawers with antique brass hardware. All drawers are dove tailed expertly in miniature form as well as the bottom of the secretary. Handsome hand tooled design is seen on the doors and interior for decoration.Large felt pads on the bottom. Excellent condition. Handsome piece,beautiful patina. Measures 14.5H X 11 1/8L X 6 3/8D. .
