Georges Yves Massart (French/Mexican, b. 1932). "Maternidad". Vintage silver gelatin print. 1967. Printed 1967. Signed, dated, and titled, verso. Kodak paper. Fine condition. Provenance: Private collection, Mexico City. Massart was hired as a photographer for “Paris Match” shortly after its founding, and was sent to Mexico in the early 1950s. He has exhibited in Switzerland, Mexico, and Columbia. Literature: "Victoria und das Pferd" (Hanau, Germany: Verlag Müller & Kiepenheuer, 1971); and "Portafolio" (Mexico City: Trilce Ediciones SA de CV, 1992), both volumes devoted solely to Massart's work.
