Numerous letters from the mid to late 19th century including a Civil War letter from Ohio soldier Edward P.Sullivan from 1864 discussing Rebel deserters and a signed document by Ohio governor Salmon P. Chase appointing John Wight, Justice of the Peace in Andover, Ohio. Sulivan strongly opposed to slavery extention.
