Brass and Porcelain French Mantel Clock, Japy Freres, Paris, the polished brass case with porcelain panels on the front and both sides, Roman numeral dial with classical scene depicting two ladies in a garden setting, the side panels enameled with an Asian woman on one side, a man on the other, eight-day time and strike movement with back plate marked with maker's name and pendulum, all on a walnut pedestal and under a glass dome, ht. 18 1/2 in.
Condition: Age consistent slight discoloration on lacquered brass surfaces, enameled panels in excellent condition, walnut pedestal and glass dome probably by association.
