German, ca 1885-1890, a bisque swivel head doll, having brown glass sleep eyes, open mouth, bisque forearms and hands, composition jointed legs and feet, leather body, blonde wig, original nursing clothes, incised "9" to back of head, unmarked; ht. 16 in.
