A very attractive bronze figure of the goddess Sekhmet, Late Period, c. 664 - 343 BC, standing with left foot forward, left hand holding an aegis to her breast, right hand gripping a sceptre which is no longer present. The goddess is very handsomely modeled with incised details, her feline head with whiskers and alert ears. Some minor pitting and losses to the feet. A very attractive bronze figure! 91 mm (3 5/8"). Ex-Southern California collection.
