A group of 16 stone Egyptian amulets & scarabs. Lot includes 7 New Kingdom scarabs, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, two of faience and five of steatite. Some chipping and losses, largest 24x19mm. The amulets, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, including basalt, rhyolite, limestone and marble, one actually in red glass. Five are Wedjats, or 'Eye of Horus' amulets, one a 'Sun in Horizon' amulet, one a seated Isis, another a 'ib' or heart amulet, and the last an amulet of a standing monkey. Largest 35mm in length. Each intact, the glass Wedjat with chip on back. Ex Los Angeles private collection.
