A pleasing circular lamp depicting Achilles carrying the wounded figure of Penthesilea, the Amazon queen, 1st - 2nd Century AD. The lamp with sharp carination and flattened base, the spout small with round wick hole. On either side are decorative lug handles. L: 3 1/2" (8.7 cm). Intact, light deposits. Ex Midwest collection.
