A lot of 4 interesting seals. The first is a rectangular black steatite stamp seal, Northern Syria, c. 2nd Millennium BC, with a scorpion above two lines on one side and horned antelope on the other, drill lengthwise for suspension, 17 x 14mm. The second is a chlorite stamp seal, Near East, c. 2nd Millennium BC, with rectangular base containing stylized standing figures, suspension hole at top, H: 17mm. The third piece is a square Gnostic black serpentine seal, c. 2nd - 4th Century AD, holed top to bottom; on the four sides - 2 stick figures, a stylized animal and the letters AW, 11 x 10 x 13mm. The last is a bronze Islamic stamp seal, base illegible. Ex Northern California private collection.
