Lesser Ury (1861-1931) MOSES. Signed. Oil on Canvas. One of the great German impressionists, Lesser Ury is known for his colorful landscapes, his nocturnal café scenes and those of Berlin in the rain, and for his striking Biblical renderings, including one of Jeremiah, now in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and this dramatic depiction of Moses with the tablets.
