Your support is appreciated. About Julia Gray~ Julia C R Gray was born in Los Angeles, California, August 5, 1960 and grew up in southern California. Julia’s home and studio is in Cardiff by the Sea, CA where she and her husband have raised their three sons. She has been painting since the age of 5; it was a painting depicting sunflowers with seeds. She began studying oil painting at 13. At the age of 14 Julia sold her first oil painting of a seascape. Julia began painting murals by age 16. She has studied (continues to study) and worked in many other mediums such as etching, acrylic, ceramics and bronze sculpture. Her first love is still oil painting and is a full time oil painter. Her canvases are large and bold with delicious bright color. Julia began doing commissioned work in 1978. She has shown her work publicly in galleries, group and solo shows since 1996, across the U.S. Julia has volunteered teaching art in the public schools from 1987 to 2004. She has participated in many other public art programs teaching and leading mural projects. Julia has participated in various art guilds, serving on boards, creating and chairing numerous art fairs and exhibits. She is currently a member of Oil Painters of America and We Hang Together.
