Antique hand carved Japanese ivory figure depicting a seated man eating rice while leaning against a bundle of bamboo. Under his left thigh a water gourd can be seen. Exceptional quality. Signed calligraphy to plaque on bottom. 19th century. Measures 2 1/2" height x 3" width x 3" depth (6.3cm x 7.6cm x 7.6cm). Weighs 125 grams.
