AN EDWARDIAN STYLE MAHOGANY AND MARBLE TOP WASH STAND WITH MARQUETRY INLAY

This stunning example of an Edwardian washstand is inlaid with pearwood and boxwood marquetry. The decorative panels are deliniated by boxwood string inlay and the design within is highlighted with pen work to give the illusion of ivory. The five original hand painted tiles, below the mirror of the back splash feature crickets,butterfly's and a spider in a web. It retains the original marble top. Two matching pieces are being offered under seperate lot numbers. 55 x 48½ x 23 inches
