An exceptional pair of brass mounted French bombe-shaped marquetry commodes, 19th century, each with a rouge serpentine shaped marble top above two drawers, each inlaid with musical and dancing figures in a heart shaped panel and a border of scrolls and flowers, flanked to either side with similar inlay depicting figures, raised on brass mounted sabre legs, 30.5'' (77cms) x 36'' (92cms).
