A mahogany longcase clock, by Robert Roskell of Liverpool, c.1810, the arched and fret cut pediment with centre relief brass panel, flanked with urns and fret cut spandrels,above a moulded cornice with a brass frieze with scrolling foliage in relief, the arched and silverised dial with eight day movement and pull repeat, signed, with Arabic and Roman numerals, and subsidiary dial for seconds, and rolling phases of the moon to the arch, flanked to each side with two half fluted brass mounted reeded columns each with a brass corinthian capital, the flame mahogany trunk door with a two stage arch top and satin wood banding, inside a moulded edge and two quarter rounded pilasters, fluted and half reeded with conforming brass Corinthian capitals, and fan inlaid spandrels, on a conforming inlaid moulded box base and rectangular moulded plinth, 102'' (260cms)h x 22'' (56cms).
