Group Of Four Sixth Plate Civil War Military Images Group includes: Sixth Plate tintype of Federal artilleryman. Wears nine button frock coat with shoulder scales. Holds bummer's cap up in front of him with insignia, 7, A and crossed cannons touched with gilt but still visible. Shoulder scales also tinted gilt. Very fine quality and condition with whole case.; sixth plate tintype of a Federal Navy officer. Wears double breasted frock coat, belt with two piece buckle, cradling M1852 naval officer's sword in his arm. Navy visored hat on the table at his side. Gilt highlighting on shoulder straps, buttons, buckle, sword and band at the base of his hat. Nice painted backdrop. Very fine quality, pristine condition. Housed in a mint brown geometric/floral thermoplastic case.; Early war sixth plate ambrotype of a Federal officer. On clear glass and vignetted. Wears frock coat with shoulder straps, belt with two piece buckle, Hardee hat with officer's embroidered insignia on the front on the table at his side. Holds eaglehead straight sword with chain guard. Buttons, sword, buckle and hat cord all highlighted with gilt. Fine quality and condition in a whole case.; really striking sixth plate ambrotype of a young soldier seated next to what is likely his father. Probably 71st New York. Wears kepi with 71 and H clearly visible on the front. Shell jacket with shoulder tabs and standup collar with white buff belt with separately applied 71 on the rectangular brass plate. Pristine quality and condition in a whole case. Nice grouping.
