Very Rare Cook Charleston, S. C. Albumen View of the Interior of Ft. Sumter April 1861. Image 6" X 7" mount 1/2" X 12". Imprinted "COOK, CHARLESTON S. C." Just below image at left. Period ink script ID written below the image "Governor Pickens and Hon. Wade Hampton of S. C. at Fort Sumter after the evacuation by Maj. Anderson inspecting the 10 inch Columbiad, mounted as a mortar upon the parade to throw shells into Charleston." Image of rather poor quality but perfect condition as is the mount and unquestionably period. Accompanied by a letter of authentication. The first of these we've ever seen available.
