Description

Incredible 17½" x 15" Albumen Portrait of Gen. Philip H. Sheridan and His Staff, Circa 1864. Mount 18½" X 16", the mount and image both mint. One of the most remarkably rich and detailed Civil War period albumens we've ever seen. A number of the subjects are neatly identified in ink on the mat, with an old typewritten list included which identifies all of the subjects. Mat with a few scuffs and toning, but image and mount absolutely superb.
