Annie Oakley: An Early Cabinet Photo. This may be the most glamorous photograph ever taken of Annie Oakley. It was shot in the Anderson Studio, New York, in 1886, the summer before Buffalo Bill's Wild West sailed for England. Some damage to borders of mount from old album mounting, as shown, but photo itself is excellent. One corner crease. Some residue from mounting on blank verso. 4.25" x 6.25". This lot will be accompanied by a family letter of provenance.
