LARGE GERMAN BISQUE DOLL BY SCHOENAU & HOFFMEISTER. Marks: S PB H, star symbol, 1906. 37”. Bisque socket head, blue sleep eyes, painted long curly eyelashes, feathered brows, open mouth, accented lips, upper teeth, original light brown mohair wig, composition ball-jointed body, antique white cotton dress and beautiful blue brushed velvet coat with hood, mother-of-pearl closures at front bodice, ornate braided belt, newer tan leather shoes. Commentary: Very good quality bisque and decoration, excellent original body with original finish.
