Katharine Merrill (FL, 1876-1962), Jungle Monarch

Katharine received her art training all along the Eastern seaboard and in London. Although born in Wisconsin and living primarily in New York City, she spent much time in the South. She taught in Charleston at the South Carolina Museum of Art and maintained a studio in Bradenton, Florida during the 1930s.
