MARITIME PAINTING BY LISTED ARTIST GARMON MORRIS (aka AVONDALE) The majority of paintings by Garmon Morris were executed during the years 1900-1930. This looks to be an early 1900's painting and is in its original frame. Garmon Morris is a listed artist who painted in Britain and his biography is noted in the 'Dictionary Of Neglected Artist'. He is known to have painted under the pseudonym 'Avondale', which is the signature on this particular painting. He exhibited watercolours in Exeter in 1906 and 1907 and some of his works were made into prints. C. W. Faulkner also published some of his coastal scenes as postcards.
