239: QIANLONG ERA CELADON BOWL
Large and impressive Green Celadon of the 18thC. that comes close to the finest work. The fruit bowl (always filled at New Years) is 8-3/8" across and 3-1/4" tall and in a super Green with virtually flawless potting and glazing (a spot of dirt in Photo #2 has been wiped off). Its' minor blemishes are hard to see, and no worse than some Celadons seen in the Forbidden City, Beijing. Very, very choice and from a kiln that clearly could produce Imperial (Kuanyao) wares, this likely will show up at Sotheby's or Christies in the future.
