Description

Two Italian School paintings, both oil on copper, depicting The Pieta. Unsigned. First item 6-1/4" x 5", Framed: 13" x 11-1/2". Second item: 8-3/4" x 6-3/4"; Framed: 12-1/2" x 10-1/4". 17th/18th century. Provenance: Estate of Judge W. Dale Young, Maryville, TN.

Condition

1st item: Overall very good condition. Small loss of paint in Christ's hair and drape. 2nd item: Large areas of paint loss in background and Mary's drape.
