A SUPERB WATERCOLOR AND GOUACHE PAINTING by ROBERT CLOUSTON YOUNG (1860-1925) This painting is by listed Scottish artist Robert Clouston Young and is entitled "BONNIE SCOTLAND". The subject appears to be Ben Nevis and area. The painting is a watercolor heightened with goucahe and measures 28" x 22" and overall size of the original frame is 34" x 29". The painting is signed at the lower left edge of the image. On the reverse of the painting the artist has named and addressed the piece and the painting has a sticker from the International Exhibition of Fine Arts, Dunedin, New Zealand. We are unsure which year this exhibition was held but date it to ca1900. Without doubt a superb painting in excellent condition.
This painting and its frame is in very good condition.
