A Navajo Woven Woolen Rug
Mid 20th century ore earlier, grey field, centering four diamonds outlined in red, black and cream, with a dark brown border with cream and red arrow decoration, 8'10'' H x 5'5'' W, est:$700/1000.
Provenance: Estate, Southern California. Condition: Good condition overall. Two small (.5'' x .5'') holes, one each to top and bottom in brown border. A few small areas of soiling. A dark tan-colored stain to white area in field (1'' x .25''). Additional scattered large tan-colored stains. A narrow line of mismatched brown wool woven into one side border extending 10'' from selvedge to first red band in field, either a repair or spirit line.
