Provenance: From The Estate of Esther Gordy Edwards, Detroit, Michigan. Edwards was the founder and President of the Motown Historical Museum, Hitsville, U.S.A., and served as the CEO and Vice President of Detroit’s Motown Records in the mid-1960’s. Her brother was famed producer and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.
The title plaque was placed at the bottom of the canvas.
