Monte Frazier (American, 20th Century). "Corner of Chestnut and 6th Street". Oil on canvas, 36" x 42". Signed lower right. Dated "1981/82". Provenance: From The Estate of Esther Gordy Edwards, Detroit, Michigan. Edwards was the founder and President of the Motown Historical Museum, Hitsville, U.S.A., and served as the CEO and Vice President of Detroit’s Motown Records in the mid-1960’s. Her brother was famed producer and Motown Records founder Berry Gordy.
